Is "user" Out Of Style In Social Media & Long Island SEO?

What are some of the most common words that we connect to the men and women who purchase products? Time and time again, we find ourselves going to "customer," even though many retailers insist on referring to each individual as a, "guest." Facebook fans have been considered, "users," which may see a change in the future. If you are curious as to what this means, exactly, there are a few points that attention can be drawn to by Long Island SEO.

According to an article on The Atlantic, Facebook director of project design Margaret Gould Stewart said that Facebook does not use the term known as, "user." The reason that Gould gave was that the company wanted to refer to these individuals as, "people," even when it comes to outlining analytics and the like. It's an understandable business move, on the part of Facebook. After all, Facebook fans want to know that they are being viewed as more than just statistics.

Many companies are very partial to these words being used, and I say this from experience. I worked in retail for more than three years and for me to refer to customers as anything other than "guests" would earn me a proverbial slap on the wrist. They were very critical of team members who did not follow this rule. After all, they wanted to maintain a safe status quo and part of this was the overall vernacular associated with the store in question.

Even with this in mind, I don't think that everyone will take part in using "people" to address Facebook users as. We have become programmed to use certain words to the point where it seems like anything else is too alien to make a permanent mainstay. However, effective marketing endeavors done by Long Island SEO experts may help matters. It's just a matter of consulting firms like fishbat quickly to ensure that the most positive results occur.

Facebook views their "people" as their own entities, which is noteworthy. They understand that the so-called "users" have their own lives to take into consideration, as well as their own interests that keep them engaged in media. As a result, this shifting of general terms makes sense and I hope that it catches on before long. If this is done, I'm sure that there will be much more value attached to Facebook and the user base it has attained.
